Title I is a 100% federally funded supplemental education program that provides additional educational services and programs.� Title I programs are designed to help children meet the state content and performance standards in reading and mathematics.
Claysburg Kimmel School District has a schoolwide Title I program in the elementary building.��As a schoolwide program, all students and staff members are considered “Title I eligible”.��Title I funds are used to support supplemental instruction in reading and mathematics.
Title 1
Title II, Part A, is a 100% federally funded supplemental educational�program that provides financial assistance to improve the skills of teachers and the quality of instruction in�core academic subjects�in public and private elementary and secondary schools.
Title II, Part A, combines the Eisenhower and Class-Size Reduction programs into one program that focuses on preparing, training, and recruiting and hiring highly qualified teachers.
Claysburg Kimmel uses its Title IIA funds to maintain small class sizes at the elementary by providing the salary and benefits for additional teachers in the building.��Funds are also used for high-quality professional development for core academic staff.
*Claysburg Kimmel School District will provide translations of pertinent information for parents with limited English proficiency. Claysburg Kimmel will also provide information in various forms (ex: audio, visual) for parents as needed. Please contact your building principal with any questions.
