The GIRLS VARSITY SOFTBALL team will play @ Conemaugh Valley on 5-26-16.  Start time is 4:00 PM.  The bus will DEPART at 1:30 PM.  Students should be DISMISSED at 1:15 PM.


GACTC STUDENTS will be picked up at 12:55 PM to return to CK. 


Challege Program

The Challenge Program presented monetary awards recognizing achievement in the areas of Attendance, STEM, Community Service, Academic Improvement, and Academic Excellence to five Claysburg Kimmel Seniors at an awards assembly today in the high school auditorium. The Claysburg Kimmel awards are sponsored by Sheetz, Inc.  Pictured (L-R) are Seniors Brianna Frederick, Bryce Walter, Nicholas Krampen, Abigail Locke and Melissa Shaw along with Gisele College from Sheetz, Inc.  Congratulations!

The Bulldog Backpack Program is drawing to a close for the 2015-16 school year. The last bags will be going out on May 27th.  We would like to thank all the participating families for taking part in the program and for being patient while we were learning about the operation of a program such as this. 

Your opinion matters to us. We sent home parent surveys two weeks ago, and last week we sent home student surveys. Please share your thoughts about the program on the surveys and send them in to the school by the end of the school year.

The deadline for the Education Foundation’s Summer Stem on June 20-22, 2016 has been extended from today until next Friday, May 27, 2016. If interested, please bring your registration forms in by next Friday, May 27, 2016. If additional time is needed to send payment, you can return the form on May 27 and make payment by June 6, 2016.

New Blair State Health Center


Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8 will be holding a STEM Summer Camp June 27-30 at the Greater Johnstown Career and Technology Center and August 8-11 at the Executive Office of IU8 in Altoona.  Both camps will run from 8:30AM – Noon.  Grades 4 and 5 have the opportunity to learn coding using Dash and Dot, while grades 6, 7 and 8 will be coding and building with Lego Mindstorms.  The cost for the camp is $100.  Deadline to register is Friday, May 27, 2016

IU8 STEM Summer Camp Brochure


A summer STEM Program sponsored by The Claysburg Education Foundation in cooperation with the Claysburg-Kimmel School District will be held at the High School. The program is scheduled for June 20th through June 22nd.  Sessions begin at 8:30 and continue until 3:00.  Students in grades 6 -12 are invited to attend.  Registration fee is $40 per student.
